Thanksgiving Blessings Handmade Card

I have seen these pumpkins made before using various punches, but they are so easy to make on your own! I used an Easy Ovals Template, but if you are good at cutting freehand, or have a small oval object to trace around, that works great too.

I used some lace, a Thanksgiving greeting stamp, gold embossing powder, a small piece of brown ribbon and a small piece of brown string. I also used Staz-On ink to stamp with because the paper is slick. (Regular ink usually smears and/or takes a long time to dry on shiny surfaces.) The beautiful pearl cardstock for the card is from DCWV’s Luxury Stack. Enjoy :).

Decorative Tile Handmade Card

This is a fun handmade card I made using a striped background paper, gold paper, glitter paper, and a decorative tile print. I enhanced the tile using Clear Rock Candy Stickles.

I dried the stickles with a heat tool (2-3 minutes), then glued the layers of papers together and placed a Heritage Glimmer Brad through the center. Then all of that was placed onto the top left card and attached using Craft Zots.

At the bottom, I used gold Happy Anniversary peel-off stickers. Get your copy of the tile below by visiting the Decorative Tile Card page.  (I printed it at 3″ x 3″ for this card.)

Basket Weave Handmade Card

I am still trying to use up paper scraps! To tell you the truth, I have so many it might take the rest of my life lol.  So here is another card that uses the small pieces of paper that accumulate from other projects. My papers were pretty small, 1″ x 4″ and 1/2″ x 5″. So I used those along with paper flowers, a brushed gold metal loop, a brushed gold mini heart brad, a piece of sewing thread, a friend stamp, & gold embossing powder.

I had another idea in mind, but when I began working on the card, weaving the paper seemed like a fun idea to try and I like the way it makes an interesting background for the card….and it uses up my scraps 🙂 Hope you enjoy the card!

Flowered Thanks Stamped Card

This is a simple & fun stamped thank you card. I used Open Almond Petals flower stamp, a jewel for the flower, a little border to serve as stems, and thanks stamp, silver embossing powder, black ink, and of course paper: orange cardstock, white cardstock and a patterned gingham paper.
I stamped the black flowers and stems first, then I stamped another flower on a separate paper and also stamped Thanks on a piece of white paper the width of the card. Both the extra flower and the Thanks were embossed with silver & the extra flower was cut out. After gluing down the parts of the card, I  used a zot for the extra flower and placed it off-center above the left flower. The gem went in the center and I was finished!

Friends Layered Paper Card

This is a card I made using papers from another projects. I ended up with 2″ strips of paper, so I cut them to the width of my card and used a border punch on the bottom edges. I think it made for an interesting look. Even if you don’t have a border punch, you could use decorative edged scissors or even rip the paper and maybe even use an ink pad on the edges.
I always love projects that help use up my paper scraps! Do you have any favorite projects for using your scraps? I would love to hear about them or see them! Just email me at admin@dinglefoot.com and feel free to send your tips and project pictures!
