Favorite Scrapbook Tools

It’s funny, I seem to be more of a scrapbook collector sometimes than a “user”. I have so many tools, paper and embellishments, that it’s pretty ridiculous! I was thinking today though of all my very favorite things that I just can’t operate without in my craft room. For one, once I got my Cricut, of course, how could I ever live without that? 🙂 But it’s the small things that make crafting so much more fun. Ink pads, 3-D adhesives (I’m addicted to them…can’t make much of anything flat these days!), edge distresser, adhesive remover, Sakura glaze pens, embossing powder, outline stickers, brads, ribbons….I could go on and on. I don’t know if I could name an absolute favorite embellishment, but all of these work together to make some very satisfying memories for my family and hopefully for others who receive my crafty offerings. How about you? I would love to hear some of your favorite tools you use in your craft room…

Pretty Fairy Card

Pretty Fairy Card

Pretty Fairy Card

Here’s a pretty fairy card that is just perfect to give to a friend! You will need:

Red A4 card
Beige Cardstock
Red Patterned Paper
Inkadinkadoo’s Beautiful Fairies Stamps
Gold Ink Pad
2 Gold Flower Stickers
Short Length of 1/8 beige ribbon
Fiskar’s Threading Water Border Punch
Glue Dots/Glue Stick
Instructions:
Cut a piece of beige cardstock slightly smaller than your card front and adhere. Do the same with the red patterned paper.
Cut a piece of beige cardstock about the same width as the red patterned paper and make the length of it about 1/4″ shorter. On each side of the width of the cardstock, punch a border with the Fiskar’s border punch.
Stamp the fairy with gold ink and quickly cover in iridescent embossing powder while the ink is still wet. Tap off the excess powder and set the design with your heat tool.
Place a gold flower sticker in opposite corners.
Thread the beige ribbon through two holes in the border and tie a bow. Place the card front on your card using glue dots for added dimension. Happy crafting :0
