It’s so much fun to ink your baby’s hands and feet to record in your scrapbooks! I find it amazing to look back and see just how tiny they were when they were newborn. I also like adding new prints once in a while now as as my children grow.
It’s great to use a dye-based ink for the prints. It is slower drying and many times has a much deeper color. But how do you remove the ink from your child’s hands and feet after the stamping is done?
I just learned a great tip today to help with that problem. Before you apply the dye-ink, simply apply some hand lotion to the skin first, then do the inking. The lotion serves as a barrier so not so much ink is absorbed into the skin. After inking, soap and water should remove almost all the ink. Happy printing 😀
